Converting The Mobile User

My talk from SMX London 2016 on May 19th. Goes over my process and how I look at converting mobile traffic. Hint, it’s more remarketing then trying to convert cold traffic.

An Attribution Model Built For The Modern Consumer

My talk from #HeroConf Philadelphia on April 26th, 2016. I had a blast and had about 125 people in the room out of the 547 people attending the conference.

Last click isn’t dead, it’s just retiring. In order to put your budget and time into marketing channels that will grow your business, it’s critical to understand how to attribute your conversions.

The attribution model Duane built can work for any startup or brand. It gives marketing teams a bird’s-eye view of what is and isn’t working, i.e. what campaigns are not just driving brand awareness but also getting customers to purchase your product. Are you ready to meet the modern consumer? In this session, you’ll learn:

How to move off last click and take a more holistic view of your business
How to attribute your conversions across the business
How to work better with the rest marketing & function as a squad

I’m Speaking at SMX London 2016

Big Ben in sunny day, London

Despite living in London for two years, I never spoke at a conferences because I worked to much… agency and startup life can do that to a person. Plus I spent a lot of time traveling ever 5 – 6 weeks to a new country or city/town in the UK. However, I’m bloody excited to announce I’m speaking at SMX London on 19th May, 2016. The conference is 18th – 19th May 2016 in East London.

A sort of homecoming as my first flat and first job were both in East London. I’ll be literally taking the stage to speak a few blocks away from my first job in London. Hopefully the May weather will be on my side and provide a few warm evenings for networking with sun throughout the day.

My talk is going be about converting mobile users. I’m sharing the stage with Andrew from Which Test Won and Lewis from Rakuten, which I think will make this a rather interesting talk. We’ve 75 minutes in total, which I feel means we each talk for 20 minutes and then we get 15 minutes of Q&A with the audience afterwards.

I’m Speaking at Hero Conf Philadelphia 2016

hero Conf Philly

I’m lucky to have been picked to speak at Hero Conf that’s taking place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania this year. Last year I attended the event in Portland, Or which was great as it was the first time  I got to see the city and take the train down the West Coast. I digress.

I’m going to talk about attribution for my talk and how to use it to figure out where to spend your money and time within your marketing team. Attribution has been a hot topic. on my blog the last year or so.

Hope to see you in Philadelphia April 25 – 27th, 2016.

I’m Speaking at Google Digital Breakfast 2016

Google Digital Breakfast

I’m speaking at a Google Digital Breakfast in Vancouver 24th February 2016. The event is hosted by Titan PPC and fully sponsored by Google. You can check out the schedule for the event, which is actually taking place at night vs the morning. I’m going to talk about AdWords, Quality Score and why those are so important toward helping make more money in 2016…while using landing pages of course.
